CoRe Racing was formed in 2005 by Federal and MantisX from the ranks of the CoRe Clan of Battlefield online FPS gamers. Their interest in racing led them to LFS, and the team idea was natural. Once the team began to expand in April, it quickly added some very fast drivers, including several from the old Memphis Bleek team. In the years since its inception, CoRe Racing has experienced several changes, including an ever expanding line-up of quality North American and international drivers, two full-time LFS Servers, and a full-time Ventrilo server. CoRe Racing is heavily involved with competition and management roles in the League of the Americas, IGTC, Masters of Endurance, and LFS World Series, proving that CoRe Racing is one of the LFS community’s most active league teams.
CoRe Racing has enjoyed a great amount of success since we began league racing as a team in 2007. Notable recent race/compeition results include completion of two entries in the May 2007 24 Hours of Kyoto race, and 2nd-1st-3rd result in the July 2007 LX Month AutoCross Competition, and a GT2 class win in the 2008 version of the presitigous Masters Of Endurance 24 Hours of Aston. CoRe Racing has earned league championships in the NAL, SCORE Fake DTM, SimFIA DTM North America, DarkSideRacing series (2x), League of the Americas (LOTA) series (11x), IGTC, and Masters of Endurance (GT2).
Although our drivers still compete in various traditional leagues, our two entries in the May 2007 24 Hours of Kyoto piqued our interest in team endurance racing. Late last year, CoRe pulled out an impressive result in the inaugural IGTC season while only competing in a handful of events. In our first team endurance league effort, CoRe captured the runners-up position and the Championship! We followed that up with a GT2 effort in the Masters of Endurance, winning four of six races and capturing the title in dominating fashion.
Our interest in team endurance racing has grown so strong that CoRe opened up it's membership to international drivers in March 2008 with the goal of fielding two strong entries in the various leagues. CoRe Racing returns to IGTC for 2008 with the goal of defending our 2007 title and further solidifying our spot in the LFS community as one of the strongest teams around.
